Accolades

It feels generous
You can tell that it’s cabernet, and that’s a good thing. It’s sweet-fruited but there are trails of dried herbs and earth, even a little tobacco, which combines well with eucalypt and toast notes. It’s medium in weight though it’s edging towards full-bodied; in any case it feels generous. There’s a clovey/smoky ring to the aftertaste, which works well. Tannin is modest and doesn’t get in the way but there’s enough to tidy the finish up nicely. You can pop ‘n pour this and it works well but it opens up well with air too.
