The Details

Tasting Note Delicious mocha and baking spice aromas, layered with dark cherries, redcurrant, a subtle touch of oak and hint of sage. Dark cherry and redcurrant flavours with delicate notes of blue fruit on the finish. Elegant tannins and a smooth texture.
Best Enjoyed With Slow-cooked rosemary and fennel lamb shoulder with roasted root vegetables; or eggplant, lentil, zucchini and tomato moussaka.
Treatment Cabernet Sauvignon grapes sourced from our Barossa growers are carefully destemmed and crushed into fermenters, where they are gently macerated. Cool fermentation temperatures enhance the rich and generous fruit flavours and soft tannins enjoyed in this wine, while the influence of French oak adds subtle spice and depth.

Accolades

Good value
Deep to near opaque garnet. Wood shavings, iron filings, blackberry flesh, old eucalyptus leaves, mossy earth, choc mint, mocha and a little leather couch. Medium-full but not overblown. Grainy and fine tannins under that fleshy, red tinged Barossa Cabernet fruit, darkened with blackcurrant and blood plum. There’s an earthiness to give a little varietal bulk and a medium length tail. Good value.
