The Running with Bulls Grenache 2023 has quickly earned praise from top wine critics, with 91 points from both Ray Jordan (Wine Pilot) and Dave Brookes (Halliday Wine Companion), and 90 points from Regan Drew (Vinonotebook). Reviewers agree its vibrant, perfumed style, with rose petals, raspberry, spice and a juicy, seamless palate is “thoroughly delicious” and “ideal served slightly chilled.”

Made in a fresh Joven style, this Barossa Grenache is unoaked and bottled early, showcasing pure, lively fruit with just a touch of Tempranillo and whole bunch spice. Bursting with blueberries, violets and spearmint, it’s light, bright and made for easy enjoyment.

Perfect with tapas, grilled seafood or mushroom bruschetta, this is a red to drink young, share with friends, and enjoy all summer long.

Your most-loved varietals, with an added edge. Our classic Barossa Shiraz offers a bold twist on this traditional variety. It’s full-bodied and velvety, with a palate rich in lush notes of chocolate and dark berries. A dash of Tempranillo adds a spicy backbone of black pepper and warm brown spices.

This was the driving philosophy behind the Hill-Smith Family when they created Running with Bulls. First – with their introduction of the Tempranillo in 2008; followed by launching Grenache and their second collection ‘Bullish’. 

Born from a different attitude and a different approach, it stuck its finger up at the status quo and created something not only new, but brilliant.​

Running with Bulls winemaker Sam Wigan loves nothing more than the prospect of time with friends and family – everyone enjoying great food, wine and conversation. In fact, it’s exactly this scenario that inspires and guides him in the making of the Running with Bulls collection. Sam has been brought up with his feet firmly planted on Barossa soil - returning home after vintages in California, New Zealand and France – and revels in the challenge alternative varietals bring.
