The Details

Tasting Note A highly aromatic wine reminiscent of blueberries, violets and spearmint with a juicy and lively palate. Perfect for drinking on release in early spring and over summer.
Best Enjoyed With Perfect with tapas. Enjoy with grilled calamari salad or roasted mushroom and thyme bruschetta.
Treatment A fresh Garnacha made in a ‘Joven’ style; unoaked and bottled early as a juicy, lively wine. The Grenache ripened early, allowing us to co-ferment with a small amount (5%) of Tempranillo. Some whole bunches were included in the ferment to add spice and texture to the wine.

Accolades

Good lively drinking
Mid-ruby in the glass with high-toned aromas of raspberry, redcurrant and red plum fruits with hints of spice, cola, purple flowers, red apple, gingerbread and earth. Light, airy and brisk of cadence with plenty of spicy red fruits along its length. Good lively drinking in a bistro style.

Clean, bright and fresh
Bright and fresh: Cherries and raspberry jelly crystals. Blueberry jam, woody spice, a little fennel, pink apple, lavender flower, spiced sweet bun and ‘spearmint’ lollies. Clean, bright and fresh…perky even. A little tacky grip from the whole bunches to support a fruit forward style with neat herbaceous coda. Nothing serious but very enjoyable to match a plate full of your favourite tapas.

A lively and vibrant expression
Okay, this is Barossa Grenache, but it’s presented as a lighter style with a feature being it is unoaked. So you are getting a lively and vibrant expression of pure medium to light bodied Grenache. Perfumed rose petals and raspberry notes on the nose and a seamless, balanced and thoroughly delicious palate. Ideal if served slightly chilled.
