Treatment The fruit was machine harvested at night or in the cool of the morning and immediately crushed and pressed. The juice was then fermented with a variety of aromatic yeast strains in stainless steel tanks - the sole aim being to reflect and preserve the flavours and aromas grown in the vineyard. A small portion of the juice was fermented with a non-saccharomyces yeast and 2% was barrel fermented. After fermentation, the wine was kept in contact with the lees for three months. This

Defined, energetic and varietally true
This leaps from the glass with a vibrant meld of passionfruit, lemongrass, green pineapple, yellow grapefruit, wet stone and a subtle edge of blackcurrant bud. It holds classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc character, but with precision and clarity rather than a loose ‘fruit salad’ profile. The palate delivers juicy citrus tension and ample texture, echoing the nose: lemon juice and white grapefruit intermingle with passionfruit, lemongrass, green pineapple and blackcurrant, all underpinned by a stony mineral thread through the back. The acidity is bright and pithy, driving freshness and length. Defined, energetic and varietally true—this is a lovely expression with real value at $24.

This producer is a master of texture
This is pungent, sure, but not in a Band Aid-y way. There's some struck match characters but they're padded into the waxy citrus, stone fruit and summer veg garden aromas. This producer is a master of texture, as demonstrated here by the creamy mouthfeel, with a citrus pith and herbal through line and a great crunch of acidity that makes this a food friendly drop.

Acid-driven structure
Citrus and lime leaf, accepted with a hint of flinty reduction. Initially quite firm on the palate with acid-driven structure, the tangy and green mid-weight flavours have a bit of chew as the finish tilts to the savoury. Very young and closed today but there is density on the long, tangy palate which will allow it to develop nicely in the mid-term.

No mistaking the origins of this Sauvignon Blanc
This is the 40th vintage of this popular wine. No mistaking the origins of this Sauvignon Blanc. It’s from the Marlborough region and certainly displays some lovely ripe, spicy gooseberry character on the nose. The palate is intensely flavoured and controlled, with a touch of lemon and lime zest creating a crunchy mouthfeel. The texture is balanced and offset by a fine lingering acidity. Nice wine.
