The Details

Tasting Note Dark purple in colour with red hues. Fresh plums, subtle vanilla oak, hints of violets and floral aromas. The generous, silky palate has blueberry and plums complemented by soft, supple tannins with hints of milk chocolate and warm spices. Bright fruit flavours linger during the long, succulent finish.
Best Enjoyed With Enjoy with beef or bean stew; hamburgers; spicy barbequed sausages and grilled vegetables; or balsamic and soy glazed Swiss Brown mushroom skewers.
Treatment Fermentation was carried out in a combination of static and rotary fermenters for six to seven days under warm temperature conditions. This creates a good balance between extracting the appropriate tannin for wine structure and retaining fruit flavour and aromatics.
