The Details

Tasting Note Pale gold with a delicate bead and fine mousse. Aromas reminiscent of dry summer meadows, oyster shell and sea spray are overlaid with complex notes of sweet brioche, toast and hazelnut nougat. The palate is elegantly structured with flavours of lemon zest, oyster shell and delicate raspberry. Three years ageing on yeast lees in bottle has built further complexity and subtle nuances of baked lemon tart, nougat and roasted hazelnuts. With a refreshing natural acidity on the finish, Jansz Tasmania Vintage Cuvée 2019 is a sparkling wine of finesse, purity and elegance.
Best Enjoyed With Grilled Spanish mackerel with beurre blanc sauce or roasted garlic, herb and white wine vermicelli.
Treatment Each block is hand-picked and fermented as an individual batch. Gentle handling, partial fermentation in aged French oak barrels for nine months and complex assemblage blending has resulted in this powerful and elegant wine. Extended ageing on yeast lees for three years after secondary fermentation gives wonderful complexity to the final wine.

Accolades

A very good vintage bubbles
Lemons and limes lead to subtle tropical fruits. Good use of oak and fine mousse. A very good vintage bubbles.
Geoff Bollom

Tight and linear
Pale lemon-gold with an almost green highlight. Sea spray and oyster shell over spiced apples, cinnamon and flaky pastry, grapefruit and roasted nuts. Easy mousse and fine beading. Tight and linear. All wrapped up and straight as a die. Nothing falling out of place here: strong, fine bones that only have hints of yeasty nuance and nougat richness, while the piercing acidity that will serve as framework for many years.
