Winesmiths X Billie Justice Thomson


Winesmiths is back with another Limited Edition Collab, this time with Artist Billie Justice Thomson. Billie Justice Thomson’s work reflects her obsession with the kitsch, nostalgia and iconic food imagery. ​

Playing homage to the Billie’s love of kitschy delights, our latest Limited Collab will see Billie’s iconic style played out in floral and bee illustrations that  feature across six Winesmiths premium collection wines. 

Our ethos at Winesmiths is Sacrifice Nothing, and we believe that should include the earth too. We’ve been dedicated to our sustainable practices since 1984 and continually strive to reduce our environmental impact through our packaging, winemaking processes, and the way we give back to the land we take from.Part of our sustainabile practices include our diversity in vegetation, which creates a balanced environment that thrives with both flora and fauna.

For this Limited Edition collaboration we asked Billie to create designs that reflected some of the flora planted around our vineyards, and celebrate native Australian Bees that are a vital piece of biodiversity.







Sacrifice Nothing Partnership

 

Bees are incredibly important to our livelihood as they help to pollinate most of the crops we eat and many that feed farm livestock. In fact, nearly two-thirds of Australia’s agricultural production benefits from bee pollination. ​While Bees are not required to pollinate our vineyards, they play a vital role in preserving biodiversity and ecosystem health and without them, many ecosystems would be altered or cease to exist altogether. ​​

In the spirit of 'Sacrifice Nothing', part proceeds from the sale of our limited edition Shiraz and Pinot Grigio will support the Wheen Bee Foundation, funding vital strategic research, education and conservation initiatives that strengthen Bees, imporve pollination efficiency and increase food security and ecosystem health.
