Sauvignon Blanc White Mojito

Sauvignon Blanc has been on a real journey, hasn’t it? Falling in and out of vogue almost as much as Madonna herself. We know you know that Sauvignon Blanc is back in a big way (as is Madonna, apparently) but if you haven’t yet convinced your friends, we guarantee these recipes will. Fantasize about those Havana nights with a fresh twist on a mojito. For all those that love a light zesty cocktail but don’t need to indulge in spirits to do so.

1 bottle of The Vegan Wine Project Sauvignon Blanc
3 limes
500ml of lemonade
1 cup of mint
Sugar to taste (optional)

Combine the wine, two juiced limes, lemonade, half the mint and sugar in a large jug. Pour into a glass and garnish with a few pieces of fresh lime and the remaining mint leaves.
Delicious, isn’t it? Serves 8-10

Pinot Grigio Minty Sangria

Pinot Grigio is certainly at the top of lots of wine drinker’s lists right now. Especially as we head to warmer months. The subtle, refined flavour profiles lend so well to mixing things up. And what better way to mix things up than sangria? As to not take away from the wine magic, this still cocktail has just a few easy additions. Why overcomplicate things?

1 bottle of The Vegan Wine Project Pinot Grigio
1 sliced lemon
1 sliced lime
½ cup of mint leaves
6 tablespoons of sugar
6 tablespoons of water

Combine sugar and water in a small bowl and microwave for approximately 30 seconds or until the sugar has dissolved. Add one tablespoon to each glass with mint, lemon and limes and stir. Pour in the wine and serve! Serves 4.

Citrusy Sauvignon Blanc

Now it is no secret that Sauvignon Blanc is a favourite amongst most white wine drinkers. Take it to the next level with this simple, delicious citrusy cocktail.

Lavender sprig and a lemon twist for garnishing

Combine the wine, lavender-lemon syrup and grapefruit juice into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake, then strain into a stemless glass and garnish with lavender and a lemon twist. Serves 2.

Berry Sangria

Our Pinot Grigio has characteristics of apple skin and poached pear, so we added some lemon, lime and raspberries to create possibly the most ‘easy to drink’ cocktail you ever try. Enjoy our berry sangria for a picnic lunch, or a Friday afternoon knock off drink!

375ml of lemon-lime soda

2 cups of raspberries
cup of sugar
